Parker Rigging Co., Inc.

Parker Rigging Co., Inc. was started on February 12, 1982 as a crane rental, rigging, and steel erection company serving the Lowcountry of South Carolina.  The company was founded by Edward E. Parker, Jr., who at that time had more than 35 years experience in the crane, rigging, and steel erection industries.  The company started with one 25 ton crane and two 30 ton cranes and 8 employees, including Timothy L. Parker, who is now president of the company. 

Parker Rigging Co., Inc. served the Charleston area with these cranes until 1990 when Timothy was made president of the company and Edward E. Parker, III, joined the company as vice-president.  Edward E. Parker, IV, joined the company in 1997 and is now the general manager of operations and oversees the crane rental and rigging division of the company.  Our crane service clients are assisted by Greg Jones, fleet service manager & Dana Parker, office manager.  We also offer on-site welding services, steel erection, and steel fabrication.  These projects are currently managed by Tim Parker, Danny Hatzenbuhler and Eddie Parker IV. 

Beginning in 1990, the company decided to expand its fleet of cranes to better service our customers.  Today, Parker Rigging Co., Inc. has a fabrication shop, fleet of 6 cranes and 2 boom trucks to serve our customers along with approximately 40 employees that include crane operators, truck drivers, mechanics, welders, and ironworkers.  Our cranes are independently certified to OSHA, ANSI, and Maritime standards and our operators are certified by NCCER.
